Gender Representation Petition (2016)
In Petition No. 371 of 2016 (CREAW vs. Speaker of National Assembly), Partner Dismas Wambola successfully argued that Parliament failed its constitutional duty to enact gender representation laws. The High Court’s advisory led to Chief Justice David Maraga’s historic recommendation to dissolve Parliament. This case remains a cornerstone of gender equity jurisprudence in Kenya.
